OOTD: Going My Way.

July 22, 2014

Good evening to you all!

I originally intended to post this two days ago but I actually sat down and worked on my thesis until the next morning everyday so this had to wait. I am not that kind of person who works 2 hours on one thing.. Either I completely immerse myself in work and work 10 hours straight or I don’t do nothing. I also seem to be most efficient in the evening/night. I think the day with all its possibilites is just way too distracting for me, I can focus best in the middle of night when there is no other possibility than to work or sleep. I will make a post about my thesis project as soon as I figured out the main points, all has to fall together a bit more. I will present my current plan to some teachers tomorrow so I hope to get some useful feedback 🙂
Most of you may remember the huge haul from my birthday – I finally got around to take some pictures with my favorite piece, the dress from World Wide Love. I love everything about this dress – that its main color is black but it has pastels in it. That it is not too short. That is has sleeves. And a front pocket. That it is completely button down. (The buttons are little stars!!) AND A UNICORN IN THE BACK. This dress was made for me. Unfortunately it is still very heavy rain season in Japan which leads to my hair looking like…. that. I carefully styled it but it just exploded on my head 15 minutes after I went out. Meh. But still. Hope you enjoy these nonetheless and let me know what you think about this dress! ^_^
The back is really what sold me on this dress. First, I am widely known for my big love for unicorns. Unicorns make everything better and the world less miserable. The unicorn in the back is actually stitched and not a print which I love; prints tend to wear out over time while stitches last a lot better. Also, the slogan “Going my way” just describes my character very well. I am going my way and study in Japan and Korea despite all the doubts and concern from other people if I should really do that or not (I think now they’ve realized, yes I should.) so I am wearing this with pride.
Pictures happened in front of one of the building where Lisa and I have seminar together. Of course that one day that I wanted some pictures it was extremely humid and raining like hell but I am pleased how the pictures turned out & I am happy that Lisa has the patience to cope with my “Could you maybe take one or two…?”  requests 😀   The stockings are from Tutuanna and the slippers from H&M; I had to buy them because my feet were hurting so bad in my new sandals I couldn’t walk at allso I went to H&M, dearly hoping they have something in my size and voilà! These slippers are actually extremely comfortable 🙂
Hope I’ll be able to show you the other pieces from my birthday haul in action soon, I also really really love that Glad News T-Shirt with the bones in the back (my teacher actually shrieked when she saw that after I turned around she was just SO surprised, haha.)
Hope you’re all doing well and don’t forget to enter my giveaway if you haven’t already, you can find a link in the sidebar 🙂
Lots of love,
Sam
