I survived my first week at my new part-time job and I must say… it’s SO relaxing to be a cashier at the supermarket compared to being a barista at Starbucks, haha. I loved to work at Sbux but it was also stressful as hell, especially if you work at the main station and are as clumsy as I am. No liquids or other goods that I could break at the cash, ha. I think it’s no secret that I am a huge fan of BB cushions ever since I tried my very first one which was the IOPE Air Cushion XP – since then, I am on a neverending journey of testing ALL! the cushions! :3 Today I proudly present you the newest cushion addition from Skinfood (actually the very first Korean brand I came in contact with when I still lived in Japan), the Royal Honey Cover Bounce Cushion<\/span><\/a> (who invents those names..?!)<\/div>\n

As you can see, the color is pretty darn perfect for me. It is barely visible because it blends into my skin so well! Best foundation match so far.<\/p>\n

As always, no primer no anything, just my bare skin and the magic of what are my beloved BB cushions. :3 Slight light adjusting was made because my apartment is always too dark.<\/p>\n

You can see here how awesome-ly smooth and flat my skin has become! I am so happy that I barely get angry bumps anymore, I almost don’t care about the red PIH. I def. feel a lot better in my skin with “just” red flat scars than huge nasty bumps ruining the texture of my skin \ud83d\ude41<\/p>\n

….I have to say, this was kind of love at first sight. I absolutely adore the finish, the shade, how it matches my natural skin tone and how it slightly illuminates my face yet doesn’t look like much foundation at all. The coverage is medium, a tad buildable, but not much. I don’t necessarily go full coverage anymore on a daily basis as I honestly don’t care if you can see my PIH a bit, it’s just life and they will fade eventually. The cushion itself has quite a strong sweet honey scent – I personally don’t mind but on the contrary quite like it, but someone who hates bold fragrances, this could already be too much as the scent lingers a lot.<\/p>\n

The Royal Honey Cover Bounce Cushion doesn’t budge much – it dries after 1-2 minutes, which gives you lots of time to blend it all out (although I barely had to). When it dried though, it doesn’t transfer much and has a good staying power, definitely better than the IOPE. It is also not as dewy as the IOPE but for me, it has the perfect balance between dewy and semi-matte; it looks very healthy and fresh to me and I can imagine this being amazing for summertime.<\/p>\n

However, I have to mention that for me, I absolutely cannot use this product with powder – you see it without powder on the pictures; I tried to settle it with my usual powder twice and everytime it became very uneven and patchy. Not sure if it’s just the specific combination or a problem in general. Also, on the days after I took these pictures my skin was more dry and this cushion definitely emphasizes those dry spots<\/u>, damn. So if your skin tends to get flakey or has very visible dryness I wouldn’t recommend this cushion to you. I have used this over the period of roughly a week and haven’t noticed any worsening of my acne, so let’s hope it stays like that.<\/p>\n

Overall, I am very happy with this and love the natural and dewy finish! If you are looking for an affordable cushion in a cute case that has medium coverage, fair skin shades and a dewy finish, the Royal Honey Cover Bounce Cushion<\/a> might just be your thing! I think it’s no secret that I am a huge fan of BB cushions ever since I tried my very first one which was the IOPE Air Cushion XP – since then, I am on a neverending journey of testing ALL! the cushions! :3 Today I proudly present you the newest cushion addition from Skinfood (actually the very first Korean brand I came in contact with when I still lived in Japan), the Royal Honey Cover Bounce Cushion (who invents those names..?!) Details -Covers blemishes and creates honey textured glowing skin.-Gives firmness and brighten skin tone.-Protects skin from strong UV rays.-SPF50+ PA+++ Volume15g ColorNo.1 Light Beige \/ No.2 Natural Beige How to useApply appropriate amount using built-in puff and tap lightly for even application. Packaging In case you’re wondering why I only have the refill – I find it pretty wasteful to have a case for every single cushion (that I might or might not even love) that I own and also because refills are perfect to test out the product, I usually only buy refills before committing fullsize (to a case.) I would have loved to get the Skinfood case as the design is really cool in my books but gotta think about the environment at least once in a while, eh? ;D I find the Skinfood puff SO PRETTY! The other side is a peachy pink which is such a nice touch compared to all my other cushion puffs which are all dark blue. Unfortunately I slathered it into the cushion before I took a picture because I was so excited and now it’s stained. Duh. -1 point for Hufflepuff (HA, GOT THAT JOKE? So subtle today.). I got the lightest shade, No 1 Light Beige because I’m ghostly NC10-15ish pale. This is more satisfying than opening a brand-new Nutella jar. You will understand. Size comparion – Skinfood’s cushion is slightly bigger than Laneige + IOPE and therefore don’t fit in their cases (as was expected.) Unfortunately, there wasn’t a single ingredient’s list in English around – luckily we got the original packaging and the author lived in Korea for half a year so I proudly present you my crappy self-translated ingredients list. (I knew those language skills would come in handy sometime.) I also added the list to cosdna for future reference. SWATCHES …the glory that is an untouched cushion. <3 As you can see, the color is pretty darn perfect for me. It is barely visible because it blends into my skin so well! Best foundation match so far. Comparison swatch because it always makes it easier to see the color when put into perspective. The Royal Honey Cover Bounce Cushion is ever so slightly darker than Laneige’s Pore Control in their lightest shade No 13, but a good tad lighter still than IOPE’s lightest shade 21. PERFORMANCE As always, no primer no anything, just my bare skin and the magic of what are my beloved BB cushions. :3 Slight light adjusting was made because my apartment is always too dark. Before & After: You can see here how awesome-ly smooth and flat my skin has become! I am so happy that I barely get angry bumps anymore, I almost don’t care about the red PIH. I def. feel a lot better in my skin with “just” red flat scars than huge nasty bumps ruining the texture of my skin \ud83d\ude41 ….I have to say, this was kind of love at first sight. I absolutely adore the finish, the shade, how it matches my natural skin tone and how it slightly illuminates my face yet doesn’t look like much foundation at all. The coverage is medium, a tad buildable, but not much. I don’t necessarily go full coverage anymore on a daily basis as I honestly don’t care if you can see my PIH a bit, it’s just life and they will fade eventually. The cushion itself has quite a strong sweet honey scent – I personally don’t mind but on the contrary quite like it, but someone who hates bold fragrances, this could already be too much as the scent lingers a lot.
