How To Keep The Glow Even In Busy Times

    September 5, 2015

Hi There! As you all may very well know, I am living a pretty terrible busy life these past months. Juggling not only my two master degree’s in two different languages and 10,000km of each other apart, I am also working part-time (full-time starting from October!) and trying to keep my social life up to…

Hey There! I survived my first week at my new part-time job and I must say… it’s SO relaxing to be a cashier at the supermarket compared to being a barista at Starbucks, haha. I loved to work at Sbux but it was also stressful as hell, especially if you work at the main station…

Review Korean Skincare: Skinfood Watery Berry Cream

    Juli 18, 2014

Happy weekend to everyone! Today I had the whole day off so I didn’t do much until 6PM and then I started to work on my thesis. When I say „work“ I think about actually writing my thesis but sadly, that is just the last step. So far, I collected 50+ papers and books that…

    BIG JAPAN BEAUTY HAUL.

    Juni 7, 2014

Hello lovelies, I have done a lot of shopping last month (maybe a bit too much, but oh well..) and after I stocked some clothes (because I came to Japan with almost no clothes for obvious reasons that the fashion here is so much more exciting than back home in Germany) I endulged in the…

Want to travel more for less this year? 🤭💘 H Want to travel more for less this year? 🤭💘 Here's how I saved several thousands last year while constantly traveling:

- travel in the off season to popular destinations (I know everyone says that but seriously!! Saved me 2k on our luxury hotel and flights to Santorini in the beginning of May, saved about 1k in Southern Italy compared to peak season as well as the Dolomites in November)

- choose destinations with favourable currency conversions: this totally depends on your local currency, but when going to expensive places this can make a huge difference (1€=160Yen compared to 1€=100Yen makes me save 60% on local purchases.) Pay accommodations in local currency in advance if the conversion is especially favorable and prone to fluctuate.

- fly during unpopular hours. I love getting either the earliest flight possible to maximise time or a super late night flight. Flights to Nice were 80€ compared to 250€.

- call hotels directly and ask for a discounted room. If your trip coinciding with busy season, it is very unlikely that hotels will negotiate their rates. However during off-peak season, hotels often have some leeway to allow discounts if you explicitly ask for them. Worse that can happen is that they don't!

- opt for camping instead of hotels. In the absolute height of summer, a hotel at the Baltic Sea would have cost us 500€ for one night. Instead, we went camping and paid 10€ per person. Not as comfortable but great for short trips!

- book directly on the airline website unless you find a super great deal. join hotel and airline rewards programs, stay loyal to the ones you like and be rewarded with free room / class upgrades and special discounts.

- get a rail pass and use local transportation! I saved so much money with my Interrail pass through France and Germany. Always check for special tourist passes you can get, many include lots of free cultural experiences as well!

Unfortunately @wander.licious who took all these pictures is not around this year so I cannot haunt her here 🤧 You might want to swipe all the way down to the last for a little surprise 🤭

They said it couldn't be done, yet here I am 🌝 They said it couldn't be done, yet here I am 🌝 I worked in university for 3.5 years until the routine became unbearable and my work schedule felt too restrictive for me. (I couldn't take off work half of the year) So I changed careers! Now I work mostly remote with flexible time and a supportive team and couldn't be more content with all the possibilities this gives me. 🧳❤️

most overrated thing to do in Paris? Probably this café 😂 The owner told us off to take pictures here even though it was literally empty and the service was pretty rude, the coffee I had was very subpar. It is probably one of the prettiest cafes in Paris, but that's about it 🙈 What is the most overrated place you went to on your travels? 🤔

p r // My week-long trip through France with @inte p r // My week-long trip through France with @interraileu was definitely one of my travel highlights of 2022 🚂💘 The ability to hop in almost any train on a whim was an amazing feeling! We definitely took advantage of the tickets by changing our initial plan a lot. With the @interraileu Global Pass you can travel through 33 countries starting from as little as 194€ ✌️ This is something I would absolutely do again ☺️ We would have easily spend at least 500€+ if we bought all these tickets separately.

Big thanks to my globetrotting friend @wander.licious for taking me along and taking almost all of these videos 🥰
into the unknown 🤍 this year I am going even f into the unknown 🤍

this year I am going even further out of my comfort zone since I will go to one of the least visited parts of Japan in spring! Considering most information I could find is in Japanese only, I am not surprised almost no tourists are going there 😅 I am really really excited to take you along. What are you doing this year outside of your comfort zone?

I often get asked what I get out of IG and there's many reasons why I would never regret being on here as much as I am but the biggest reason was finding these friends who just seem to like me the way I am?? 🥹❤️ Half of my close friends I met on IG so I consider this a blessing 🌷 #friendshipgoals
